METROPOLITAN KIDS

A toddler + An ipad with two nannys seems like a common thing in this urban life.

Sometimes the nanny just videotaped all of her little boss activities as if this toddler is a superstar.
Oh yea, well of course this kid is a superstar for their parents,  their parents who just too busy to play angry bird with them.

MY IMAGINARY PET

Not a long time ago, my best friend got a new pet, a forest cat. it looks cute yet fierce. Well for me, having a pet is just not my expertise. I had various kind of pet when i was a little girl. Rabbits, hamsters, colorful birds, fish, and  oh i even had an iguana back in the days. Although i felt like i already feed them well, gave them some vitamins, they just stayed with me for a very short time. My rabbits and hamsters suddenly died. My iguana just ran away, well i don't know how it can escaped from the cage, and sometimes i wonder how it's live now, iguana in a big city..well, since i cant take a good care of real animals, i also had a virtual pet. But again, i only excited in the beginning and after a few weeks, i just abandon my virtual pet. Then i thought about my favorite pet, pet that i adore, like deer and giraffe, but of course there's no way i can keep them at the back of my house, right? Sooo i made my own imaginary pet. i can keep them in my mind, and they will never ever dieee...
o yeeaa..
so what do you think about my imaginary pet? :p

URBAN SASIRANGAN

This is my Fashion Analysis assignment. I took Sasirangan as the inspiration. Sasirangan is one of traditional fabric from Banjar, South Kalimantan. Taken from the word Sa which means one and Saringan means baste. This fabric made by tie dye technique. In this project i combined this traditional textile heritage with something modern and contemporer.

TUCKS OF NGAJU

This is my final assignment that i've been doing for this past few months. Im using tucks technique and combine it with Dayak Ngaju's ornament. Tucks is a sewing technique that produces folds on the fabric and Dayak Ngaju is one of  the tribes from Kalimantan. Ngaju has a lot of amazing ornaments that they generally used for religious ritual but some of it used only as decoration. And taddaaaaaa....this is the colaboration between tucks and Ngaju.
